The WhyNot?Forum is inspired by TEDTalks, wherein leading thinkers and doers around the world share their ideas, dreams, and experiences, which are then shared on the web for all the world to see.
We envision the WhyNot? Forum as a Filipino-flavored incarnation; It is a smorgasboard of great, brave ideas, an open-source innovation soup that will hopefully inspire other Filipinos to connect adjunct thoughts, take impactful action, and weave together new breakthrough ideas — redefining and challenging the inertia of the status quo;
All in the spirit of positive change for the Philippines.
Think New Thoughts. Share Big Dreams. Do Brave Things.

THE WHY?NUTS
MARK RUIZ

Mark left the corporate rat-race because he earnestly wanted to change the world. And although only time will eventually tell if he’ll ever make a dent, he continues to bullheadedly expend all his mind, passion, and energy believing he one day will. A proud pinoy, an entrepreneur, an educator, an advocate, a gadget geek … Mark is borderline-crazy, and damn proud of it too.
BAM AQUINO

Bam is a junkie – an inspiration junkie. And as much as he is compelled to spread it, his appetite for it is unmatched. From his days in government service to his sojourn in show business, and now with his work in microfinancing (Hapinoy), Bam continues to search for and spread the spark that makes the Filipino a great people.
JAN CHAVEZ-ARCEO

Jan’s teargas-tinged social activism college days made her realize that the true battle wasn’t in the boondocks but rather in the boardroom. Since that epiphany, she has harnessed the power of business - as Managing Director / Chief Creative Officer of OneAsiaTouchpoint and Managing Partner / Senior Consultant of Impact Solutions Consulting Group - in changing the world. For all her accomplishments, Jan was recognized as one of the 35 Hottest Entrepreneurs under 35 by Entrepreneur Magazine in 2002. A rocker by heart, this WhyNUT believes that if she thinks IT, it will BE – with enough hardwork and God’s grace, then IT will BE.
TIMI GOMEZ

Timi sells ideas for a living– they just happen to be embodied in the size, shape and lather of laundry soap. She’s trying to see if her Marketing prowess (or the lack of it) can be applied to matters that really do something to save the world. Her involvement in the Why Not Forum is her first step in that direction. Why Not sell lots of laundry soap by day, and save the world by night?
CARLO CALIMON

The WhyNot?Forum’s event spartan, Carlo has always been active in youth development — whether it be in his work in the SK or his parish community. Carlo is an active advocate of Entrepreneurship, as he believes that it is the key to improving the lives of countless Filipinos.
ANGELI KO

Angeli has graduated from her “Dad, are we there yet?” phase to asking the more critical and exciting questions in life. Apart from her daily adventures as an aspiring entrepreneur/writer/trilinguist/marathoner, Angeli uses her boundless energy and amazing kulit powers in creating waves of positive change in the world around her. :
